Summary
Wholesale Florist Manager – The ideal candidate would have wholesale experience of buying and selling fresh flowers. My client will not consider candidates without strong upto date knowledge of the fresh flower industry.
They would consider for this role an experienced florist manager but must have an excellent track record and understand the wholesale part of the industry.
Our client is a well-established and ever-growing floral business who sell an extensive range of fresh flowers at competitive prices either from their warehouse, which is open to the general public or wholesale quantities to pre- order, with fresh deliveries coming in from Holland three times a week.
They are currently looking for a business minded Wholesale Florist Manager to join their team with solid experience of buying and selling flowers.
The Wholesale Florist Manager role will include:
• Selling to current and new customers
• Stock Management
• Building and growing a fresh flower customer base
• Managing a small team
• Buying fresh flowers online and over the telephone from Holland
• Driving a transit sized van as and when needed
• Helping to move stock (this will be physically demanding at times)
The successful Wholesale Florist Manager will need to have/be:
• Must be confident in IT buying online is a key role
• Experience of buying and selling wholesale flowers
• Strong sales skills and experience
• Experience of managing or mentoring a small team
• A full clean driving license with the ability/confidence to drive a transit sized van
• Must be physically fit as the role will involve lifting
• Fully flexible with hours, available to work weekends and to cover holidays and peak seasons, early starts of 7am also required 3 times a week
The role will offer a starting hourly rate of £14-£15ph.
