Summary
• To accurately veneer items to the highest standards. Full training will be given
Record number of veneering / laminate sheets that come into the factory.
• Check correct veneer is delivered and check the quality, if not to the right standard rejects to be returned immediately.
• To make sure any unacceptable panels are disposed of.
• Inspect sheets or strips of veneer for colour, texture of grain, knots, wormholes, cracks, or un-sanded spots so that the quality meets the correct standards.
• To make sure that all veneering done is to the highest stand possible.
• Make sure you use the correct safety tools
• Raise any requirements of maintenance items to line management.
• Complete any machinery checklist as required.
• Complete stock takes periodically.
• To be able to read drawings correctly to match with clients’ request.
• To support joiners and other members of the team in completing products (team working)
• To teach / train other members of the team , including apprentices in veneering techniques as requested.
• To work in accordance with the production manager or designated management representative
• To work in accordance with work instructions and/or target productivity hours to complete items to a high-quality standard.
• To adhere to health and safety legal requirements, regulations and policies working in a safe manner for yourself and others.
• To maintain compliance to all company policies and guidelines.
• To log hours and materials used per project onto the company ERP system.
• Complete any other ad-hoc tasks as directed by your line manager.
