Summary


Are you welcoming, organised, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced healthcare environment? We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Administrative Support colleague to join our busy Day Surgery Unit at Heatherwood.

Our Day Surgery Unit is a vibrant area with 22 day‑case patient pods, working closely alongside our Pre‑Operative and Ophthalmology Day Case departments. No two days are the same, and you’ll play a vital role in helping the unit run smoothly.

As part of our team, you’ll provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Day Surgery Unit. You’ll often be the first point of contact, meeting and greeting patients, visitors, and staff with a courteous, professional, and reassuring approach.

You’ll help ensure that patient records and documentation are accurately maintained, in line with Trust policies and procedures, and that confidentiality and information security are upheld at all times in accordance with Information Governance guidance.

We are open 07-00 am until 22-00hours Monday to Saturday. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to cover all shift patterns.
• Welcoming patients, visitors, and staff to the ward
• Providing administrative and clerical support to the Day Surgery Unit
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensuring confidentiality and data security are always maintained
• Supporting the wider multidisciplinary team in a busy clinical environment
