Monday - Friday (On-site)
From £45,000 (depending on experience)
Due to internal progression within our finance team, Ashcourt Group is looking for a high‑calibre Management Accountant to step into a key role at a pivotal time for the business. We’re growing rapidly across the North, and this role sits right at the heart of that growth. You’ll be joining a business that invests in its people, promotes from within, and gives ambitious individuals room to grow as the company expands.
The Opportunity
As Management Accountant, you’ll deliver high‑quality management information that supports both operational and strategic decision‑making across the group. You’ll own the month‑end process, maintain strong financial control, and provide insightful analysis to senior and non‑finance stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
Producing accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet analysis
Owning the month‑end close process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are complete and on time
Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, resolving issues and protecting financial integrity
Delivering clear, meaningful variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods
Providing financial insight that supports effective decision‑making and cost control across the business
Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure consistency and accuracy across group reporting
Supporting internal and external audits with confidence and clarity
Contributing to continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, and reporting
Who We’re Looking For
Part‑qualified or fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
Ideally experienced within the construction industry or a similar project‑based environment
Strong technically, but equally comfortable communicating with non‑finance stakeholders
Motivated, proactive, and keen to develop within a fast‑growing business
Why Ashcourt Group?
Completive staring from £45,000, depending on experience
Employee benefits app with discounts on gyms, restaurants, and shops
Access to a virtual 24/7 GP
Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support
Rapid expansion across the North means genuine opportunities to progress
You’ll have visibility, responsibility, and the chance to shape how finance supports the business
Occasional travel to our Prudhoe office and Head Office near York
We are committed to making reasonable adjustments throughout the application, recruitment, and onboarding process for candidates who need additional support. If you experience any difficulty applying, please contact our recruitment team at careers@ashcourt.com.
