Summary

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a permanent Joiner, supporting our Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) contract on-site at Trawsfynydd.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 07.15am – 17.15pm.

Amey delivers essential workplace and facilities management services across 17 nuclear sites and regional offices nationwide, supporting the safe decommissioning of the UK’s first‑generation nuclear sites. This is highly regulated, purposeful work that plays a vital role in protecting people and the environment, while offering long‑term career security within a growing and nationally important sector.

The Carpenter & Joiner plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the site is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner

What you will do:

Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
Carry out joinery work to include repairing of doors, windows, signposts, formwork, and other bespoke timber items.
Responsible for joinery workshop - maintenance of machines, statutory inspections, housekeeping, and cleanliness.
Organise and plan your daily work with the supervisor, to record and submit all details of work carried out on relevant works orders.
Measure and quote for works.
Order materials.
Maintain stock of Building Maintenance material.
Support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager, including supporting multi‑skilled tasks such as basic plumbing, grounds maintenance, escorting and general operative work.

What you will bring:

Blue CSCS skilled worker card is essential.
Level 2 or 3 in Joinery & Carpentry would be beneficial.
Manual tool handling, ladder use and first aid familiarity.
