Recycling / Yard Operative – Plymouth
Monday to Friday | 7am – 4pm | No Weekends
Looking for a hands-on role where you can stay active, work outdoors and be part of a busy team?
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Recycling / Yard Operative to join a fast-paced site in Plymouth. This is a great opportunity for someone with plant experience who enjoys practical work and being part of a strong team environment.
If you’re reliable, safety-focused and like working in an outdoor setting, this could be a really solid opportunity.
The Role
You’ll be working within a busy recycling yard, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Operating a loading shovel
• Using grab attachments
• Working with material handlers or wheeled excavators (e.g. Sennebogen)
• Loading, sorting and moving waste and recycling materials
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
What We’re Looking For
• Valid Loading Shovel Ticket (essential)
• Proven experience operating plant machinery
• Experience with grab attachments or material handlers preferred
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious
• Comfortable working in an outdoor, physical role
