Summary

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at Tarnerland Nursery School, a not-for-profit nursery maintained by the Local Authority.

We are looking for an Early Years Teacher in our Carer and Creators (over 3s) group. Do you believe in the magic of learning through play? Are you a game-playing, music-making, bread-baking educator? About our setting
Our nursery is located in the centre of Brighton, close to the beach and town, in a light and spacious building with extensive outdoor provision, including a large garden shaded by mature trees and overlooking the sea. It is a truly special place to work and learn. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and to ensuring every child and family feels welcomed, respected and supported.

Hours
34.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all year round, shifts between 8am and 6pm on a stable rota of 2 long and 3 short days.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status or Early Years Teacher Status
- experience of working with children under five in an Early Years environment
- a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- practical experience of planning for and assessing children’s learning and development
- a strong work ethic and commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team
- secure knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
