Job Description Practice Nurse Job Title: Practice Nurse Employer: Dr H Naylin & Partner Location: London Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 a year (pro rata) Contract: Permanent Working Pattern: Part-time 3 sessions per week Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly primary care team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to our patient population, supporting health promotion, chronic disease management, screening programmes and vaccination services. You will work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care. Main Duties of the Job Cervical cytology, including Open Exeter entry and smear safety monitoring Childhood immunisations Travel vaccinations Family planning support and advice Suture removal Simple and complex wound care and dressings Vitamin B12 injections Vaccination programmes including influenza, pneumococcal, shingles and pertussis Ordering and stock management of vaccines in line with cold chain protocols Infection control lead duties, including monthly audits Chronic disease management clinics ECG recording Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) Health promotion and preventative care activities Person Specification Qualifications Registered Nurse with current NMC registration Evidence of ongoing professional development (desirable) Experience Experience working in primary care Experience working with clinical protocols and pathways Experience managing long-term conditions Experience using SystmOne (desirable) Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of long-term condition management Understanding of clinical governance Knowledge of health promotion strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills Additional Information Applicants must have current UK professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
