Technical Sales Manager (Dairy Equipment) – Armagh / Northern Ireland (Field-Based) - £40,000 – £50,000 + Company Van + Bonus
The Job:
This is a field based, commercially focused role supporting growth in the dairy sector. You will work directly with farmers, providing tailored technical solutions and acting as the link between customers and internal teams, managing projects from initial enquiry through to installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with dairy farmers and agricultural businesses, identifying opportunities for installations, upgrades and equipment sales
- Conduct on farm visits to assess needs and provide tailored technical solutions, including milking parlours (rotary, herringbone, rapid exit), automation systems (detachers, feeders, herd monitoring), handling systems and other dairy infrastructure
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and project specifications; collaborate with internal design, fabrication, and installation teams to deliver projects
- Manage the sales pipeline, follow up on leads and represent the business at agricultural shows and industry events
- Maintain accurate records and strong after-sales relationships to support long-term customer partnerships while ensuring compliance with health, safety and industry standards
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in technical sales within agriculture, engineering, or machinery, with a strong understanding of dairy farming operations highly desirable
- Ability to advise on technical solutions and system design, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self motivated and confident working in a field based role
- Full UK driving licence
- Dairy farming, milking systems, agricultural engineering or farm machinery
- Automation, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Knowledge of milking parlour layouts, herd management, and an existing network in the dairy sector
