Summary
Vehicle Technician
Location: Kentish Town
Salary: £44,345 basic per annum, plus a shift allowance, and a weekend supplement for Saturday (£52.10 per attendance) and Sunday (£104.20 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable. Additional allowances apply depending on shift pattern including late shift allowance (£87.58 per week) and night shift allowance (£131.38 per week).
Hours: 39.5 hours per week, Saturday working will be required on a rotational basis once every 3 weeks.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client’s workshop in Kentish Town. The successful Vehicle Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models. As part of the UK’s largest fleet operator, this role offers structured development, job stability, modern working conditions and the opportunity to progress within an established organisation. This Vehicle Technician role operates within a three-week rotating shift pattern, providing structure and work-life balance:
Week 1 06:00 – 14:30 / Week 2 06:00 – 14:30 / Week 3 13:30 – 22:00
Optional night shift working (22:00–06:00) is available with enhanced pay.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
Vehicle Technician requirements: • You will need to have experience as a Vehicle Technician and a relevant and up to date qualification for HGV level 2 or above
• You will be a person who takes great pride in your work
• You will have incredible attention to detail and an eye for spotting things others cannot
• A full UK driving licence - no more than 9 points or bans on the licence
• A stocked toolbox suitable for workshop use
