Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Pressman / Hydraulic Press Operative to join a busy manufacturing client based in Dronfield.
You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of 10 hydraulic presses within a fast-paced production environment.
Duties include:
Mixing raw materials to create a “cake mix” used in production
Operating and monitoring hydraulic presses
Ensuring consistent quality of silicon nugget output
Overseeing the cooking process (approx. 1.5 hours per batch)
Preparing finished products for packing
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
Being tool-aware and adhering to safety procedures at all times
Materials are transported across the factory using overhead cranes and FLT (Counterbalance and Reach trucks)
— full in-house training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a physically demanding role
Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts
Good awareness of workplace safety
Previous manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential
Full health and safety induction on day one
Ongoing training, including FLT and crane operation

Days and Nights | Full-Time
This role operates on a rotating shift basis:
Week 1 (Days):
Monday to Thursday, 05:45 – 17:45 (49 hours paid)
Week 2 (Nights):
Monday night to Friday morning, 17:45 – 05:45 (57 hours paid)
(Includes 2 hours per shift night premium)
£12.71 per hour (National Living Wage while on agency)
Weekly rotating shifts with enhanced night pay
