Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a full or part time, committed and enthusiastic Teacher to join a dedicated and well-resourced pastoral department. The successful candidate will be required to lead a year group in either KS3 or KS4. Previous pastoral experience is desirable, although not essential.
We wish to appoint a colleague who:
• is an outstanding Teacher
• has the flair, energy and ability to bring out the best in young people
• is eager to be a part of a very successful and hard-working pastoral department
What the school offers its staff
The Piggott School Pastoral team includes:
• a Head of Year for each year group across all Key Stages
• Assistant Heads of Year to support the work of the Head of Year
• non-teaching pastoral support in all Key Stages
The Head of Year position comes with a significant timetable reduction.
Reducing teacher workload and promoting wellbeing for all remains a priority at The Piggott School.
Our vision and values, including love and compassion, permeate all aspects of school life. All staff are provided with CPD and technology to support their professional development and benefit from discounted BUPA healthcare.
Commitment to safeguarding
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to Satisfactory Disclosure Clearance, an online check and a 'prohibition from teaching' check will be completed for all applicants.
