Due to the retirement of our current Site Manager, Stanley Park Junior School is looking to appoint a new Site Manager. We are a successful, friendly and inclusive three-form entry Foundation School with a stable, strong and successful staff team. We were rated “Good” in our last Ofsted in September 2023. We seek to employ a reliable, enthusiastic, cheerful, friendly, proactive and well-motivated person to join our team. They will take on the management, maintenance and improvement of our school site.

• An understanding of premises management.
• Someone who will relish the challenge of working in a busy school environment, working flexibly across different areas to meet deadlines whilst tackling the unexpected.

• Someone who has read the job description and person specification and feels they are well suited for this role.
• Someone with a good standard of maintenance and DIY experience with an understanding of health and safety parameters

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• To maintain the school buildings and grounds to a high standard to support teaching and learning and ensure that all families and staff are safe.
• Ensure site security, including key holding, alarm management, opening/closing premises, and liaison with emergency services.
• Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, decorating, and grounds upkeep.
• Plan and manage a rolling programme of refurbishment and redecoration in line with the School Development Plan.
• Lead on health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, inspections, PAT testing, and record keeping.
• Supervise, support, and manage cleaning staff, including performance monitoring and training needs.
• To seek quotes for building/refurbishments and liaise with school business manager.
• To support school lettings, including coordination with hirers, site preparation, and out-of-hours access.
• Undertake deliveries, collections, and other porterage duties as required.
• Act professionally at all times, uphold the school’s reputation, and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
