The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Institute for Neuroscience and Cardiovascular Research, based at the Queen’s Medical Research Institute. This 12-month, full-time role will contribute to research focused on improving how antidotes are used to treat a range of poisonings. The successful candidate will play an important role in experimental and analytical work, with a particular focus on applying mass spectrometry to human clinical samples from clinical trials. The post holder will develop and apply bioanalytical methods, prepare and analyse clinical samples, and interpret data relating to chemical exposures and pesticide toxicity. They will also contribute to sharing findings through publications and presentations, support the supervision and training of students and junior researchers, help maintain the smooth running of the laboratory, and work closely with colleagues and international partners to advance impactful research.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
