Summary
Do you want to help shape and deliver collaborative, high-impact communications for Transport for Greater Manchester’s Bee Network?
Over the past year we have worked with our partners to transform transport in Greater Manchester, building a network fit for a growing city region. The Bee Network has improved the way millions of people travel for work, leisure, and other essential trips, making journeys easier, more accessible and more affordable. This work is underpinning a collective vision for growth that reaches every part of our city region.
It is an exciting time to be a part of this story. Our communications team plays a critical role in connecting people, sharing stories, and celebrating our progress as we deliver for our communities and fostering pride in the Bee Network.
Your Role
This role will play a key part in the delivery of transport communications for Greater Manchester - one of the most ambitious, exciting and high-profile city regions in the UK, where transport is at the heart of the growth agenda.
Reporting to and supporting the Communications Lead, you will build trusted relationships with designated parts of the organisation. Building on these, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of impactful, coordinated communication campaigns and activities to support the city-region’s transport vision.
You will get under the skin of our projects and programmes, and work proactively to positively position the Bee Network and Greater Manchester’s approach to transport to both internal and external audiences. To do so, you’ll take a creative and imaginative approach using the full range of communications tactics, while supporting and mentoring junior members of the team to deliver excellent work.

You’ll bring a sound understanding of the range of different online and offline channels and be as comfortable creating a communications strategy and designing briefs, as delivering the tactics within it.
