Summary
The post holder will join a newly formed, multidisciplinary team focussing on children and young people who have Complications relating to Excess Weight (CEW). This service is being delivered in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital and so is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a collaborative and innovative new service.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining a database of relevant patient data and producing regular reports on the CEW service for national audits.
The post holder will also be responsible for developing and implementing robust administrative processes within the service as well as leading on continuous service improvement to increase productivity and efficiency in administrative working practices. The role will involve booking appointments, responding to patient queries, monitoring 18-week referral to treatment pathways, and coordinating with local services to ensure patients have follow up in relevant services.
As a new service, it will be important for the post holder to have exceptional interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across the partner sites to ensure a joined up, integrated service for the patients. This will involve working closely with the various clinicians in the team, including a consultant, psychologist, dietitian and physiotherapist.
This is a pivotal role with the post holder providing all necessary administrative support to the Paediatric CEW clinic. It involves providing high level, confidential support to the clinical team, including entering data into the national database to measure success against the aims of the programme. The post holder will ensure the interests of the Trust are represented in a professional manner, and is a suitable ambassador at all times.

· Maintain a database of information on the CEW patients.
· Produce monthly reports on the CEW service for NHS England.
· Deliver all administrative functions across the CEW service to provide a good quality, timely service to both our internal and external users.
· Work across the multi-disciplinary team to ensure all clinics are set up properly.
· Manage incoming referrals and work with the team to ensure they are triaged and responded to a timely manner.
· Book appointments, interpreters, and transport for patients.
· Ensure that clinic letters are processed in a timely manner and problems are escalated to the Service Manager.
· Support the delivery of 18-week referral to treatment (RTT) and 6-week diagnostic waits.
· Organise and facilitate regular MDT meetings and support with minute taking and actions as appropriate.
· To act independently, ensuring that daily tasks and ongoing workloads are prioritised and completed in agreed timescales.
· Provide cross cover as required for the unit as directed by the management team.
· Carry out other appropriate duties as instructed by the management team.
