Summary
Key Responsibilities To operationally lead Departments departmental/divisions systems: recruitment and selection, staffing Admin team. Responsibility for daily management of staff ensuring effective administrative running of the service in terms of both systems and equipment: implementation and maintenance of office/related issues. Using initiative to ensure patients are booked in line with local and national access targets. To work in the Access Team environment supporting the Elective Access Manager to provide a professional efficient and effective centralised booking service for a variety of Inpatient / Outpatient/ schedules, ensuring KPIs are maintained. To undertake IPDR and 1-2-1 sessions within the access team. Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of annual leave and absence management processes, statutory and mandatory training attendance and other HR polices for the administrative team within the business unit. Monitor staff sickness levels in accordance with the Health and Wellbeing policy and carry out formal consultations through the stages as outlined in the policy. ensuring that ESR is fully updated and maintained. Plan, organise and prioritise own workload and for the wider team while accepting direction and delegation from Elective Access Manager and/or Deputy divisional director of Operations. Offer divisional support in transformation workstreams Be responsible for induction and training of new staff members on local processes for the Access Team. Use independent judgement to problem solve.
