Within the Marlowe Environmental Services, we are part of a fast growing business delivering compliance services to our clients.

The Senior Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations on the production floor to ensure efficient and safe chemical manufacturing and dispatch processes. This role includes supervising a team of blending and picking operatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, monitoring production targets, optimising manufacturing processes, and maintaining safety standards. The Senior Supervisor will also collaborate closely with other departments to achieve production and delivery goals.



Main Duties

-
-Oversee the day-to-day operations of the chemical manufacturing process, ensuring that production targets are met within quality, safety, and cost parameters.

-Lead and supervise a team of Production and Despatch Operatives. Provide guidance and performance evaluations to foster continuous improvement and professional development.

-Analyse manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvements in safety, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Work with technical team to implement process enhancements.

-Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality requirements and company policies.

-Address and resolve any operational issues or equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime. Work with maintenance team to schedule and prioritise repairs.

-Maintain accurate records of manufacturing and employee performance.

-Collaborate with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Technical, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth production operations and resolve any interdepartmental issues.

What we are looking for
-Education/Experience

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a batch manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

-Proven experience in managing production teams and optimising manufacturing processes.

-Certification in Safety Management or Process Improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is advantageous.

-Experience of working with chemicals would be advantageous

-A commitment to health and safety and quality

-Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve production issues efficiently.

-Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing priorities

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate to stakeholders.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with production management software (e.g., ERP systems).
