Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring clinical procedures run smoothly and efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures
Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in line with infection control standards
Ensure the surgery is clean, organised, and ready for each patient
Provide reassurance and support to patients before, during, and after treatment
Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical notes as required
Handle and process dental materials (e.g., impressions, fillings)
Support radiography procedures (if qualified)
Manage stock levels and order supplies when necessary
Follow all health and safety, cross-infection, and compliance regulations
Requirements
Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent)
Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) (if applicable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dental software systems (desirable)
Radiography qualification (desirable but not essential)
