Summary

Be the Champion They Never Had - Be an SEN TA

St Ives, Cambridge

Gen Z is the most socially conscious generation yet-so why work a job that doesn't align with your values? Help us dismantle the barriers for students with SEMH and Autism. This is your chance to be a mentor, a defender, and a turning point for a young person who has been misunderstood by the "standard" system.

  • The School: Respectful, collaborative, and focused on specialist excellence.

  • Why Us: A chance to lead by example in a multidisciplinary team that values your wisdom.

The Details
  • Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 (Actual annual salary)

  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Term Time Only)

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

  • Location: St Ives, Cambridge

Your Role on the Team

As a vital member of our multidisciplinary squad, you will bridge the gap between curriculum and connection. You will:

  • Foster Independence: Provide tailored support for students with ASD and high-anxiety profiles.

  • Think on Your Feet: Adapt lesson plans in real-time to meet the sensory and emotional needs of your students.

  • Champion Positive Behaviour: Use person-centred, trauma-informed approaches to de-escalate and support.

  • Collaborate: Partner with teachers and therapists to create a classroom culture where every student feels safe to succeed.

The Perks (Beyond the Paycheck)

We invest in our people as much as our pupils. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health & Peace of Mind: 24/7 household GP access, dental/optical cash plans, and life assurance.

  • Financial Wins: Enhanced pension, "Perkbox" lifestyle discounts, and a £1,000 Referral Bonus if you bring a friend on board!

  • Professional Evolution: Access to top-tier SEN training and continuous career development.

  • Lifestyle Perks: Cycle-to-work schemes and car lease options to make your commute easier.

Who You Are
  • Qualified: You hold relevant Teaching Assistant certifications.

  • Experienced: You have a background (or a deeply rooted interest) in SEMH and SEN support.

  • Grounded: You possess the patience and emotional intelligence required for a high-needs setting.

  • A Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative, supportive environment.
