Hours: 40 hours per week, primarily Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm
Additional hours: Occasional evening or weekend work for school events
Pay: £14.30 per hour (circa £27,885 per annum)
Contract: 52 weeks
Requirements: Full UK driving licence essential; own vehicle desirable

The Role
We are seeking a confident and people-focused Catering Supervisor to lead the front-of-house operation at Edinburgh Academy Senior School.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-quality dining service, delivering a professional and welcoming experience for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will play a key role in shaping the team, maintaining standards, and ensuring service excellence every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead front-of-house service across breakfast, lunch, and daily school dining
- Plan and deliver seamless day-to-day service, as well as a calendar of standout school events
- Train, motivate, and support front-line team members to perform at their best
- Act as Allergen Champion, ensuring compliance, safety, and clear communication
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and management teams to deliver a consistently high standard of service
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and well-presented dining environment
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and compliance processes
About You
- Experience within hospitality or catering, ideally with supervisory responsibility
- A natural leader who brings out the best in others
- Strong customer service skills with a calm, organised, and solutions-focused approach
- High standards of professionalism, presentation, and attention to detail
