Summary

A Vacancy at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

• An exciting opportunity for motivated and energetic nurse who enjoys working with children and young people with a variety of complex health and learning needs.
• The role evolves working in a special school setting , alongside our education colleagues to ensure children and young people are given fair equal access to education.


• We are looking for a band 6 nurse to join a team of mixed skill nurses to support children and young people in a school for CYP aged between 4-19 years old.
• You will have good clinical skills as well as be willing to learn new skills. You will plan your workload and pre-empt the needs of the children on your caseload.
• You will be giving tracheostomy care, feeds via jejunostomy, gastrostomy, safe administering of medication, airway maintenance using suctioning etc.
• You will be delivering care for the CYP while they are in their lessons and ensuring their education is as uninterrupted as possible.
• You should work well within a team.
• Your must have good safeguarding awareness.
