Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Software Developer:
â— Research, design and implement new software
â— Participate in group meetings and make presentations to your peers
â— Be exposed to innovative software technologies and methodologies
â— Hands on design / implementation and testing
â— Take full ownership and responsibility for delivery of your projects
â— Be exposed to large scale computer systems and supercomputers, and emerging technologies.
What You’re Good At:
â— A passion for technology and all things software development
â— Your interests/skills have particular emphasis on open-source software and Linux environments
â— Working with others both technical and non-technical
â— Solving problems; you’re pragmatic and can understand that problems can be solved in numerous ways
The Ideal Candidate:
â— A demonstrable open-source software background (e.g., GitHub account and projects, etc.)
â— Is a fast mover; you have a strong drive to build a career in cutting-edge development
â— Has a can-do personality, comfortable with communication at all levels
â— Has a strong academic background
â— Has demonstrable skills in scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, Python, React & Web development
â— Flexibility to travel and work on projects across the UK
