Business Analyst
Salary: £47,699 per annum
Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)
Based in Glasgow / Hybrid

sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. Our goal is to be inclusive by design.

Do you enjoy understanding complex problems and turning them into clear, evidence‑based insight?

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Data and Digital team. You will support the initiation of projects by leading early stage discovery, process review, and requirements definition. You should have experience using business analysis techniques such as process mapping, requirements gathering, and problem definition.

The Business Analyst will work with stakeholders from across the organisation to analyse current processes, assess impacts, support options appraisal and ensure initiatives are well scoped and governance ready. As a result, we are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to different audiences.

You will manage multiple pieces of analysis at the same time and contribute to improving business analysis tools, templates and approaches across the organisation. This role therefore requires good organisational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of project or PMO environments that support consistent and auditable ways of working.

Inclusion underpins everything we do at sportscotland, and you’ll be expected to work in a way that supports inclusive decision‑making, transparent communication and collaborative working.

How to apply

Please apply online and attach your CV and covering letter detailing why you meet the requirements by the closing date of 19 April 2026.

We anticipate interviews will take place on W/C 4 May 2026.

Employee benefits

In return for the above, we offer employee benefits such as flexible working, generous holidays, Cycle2Work, fantastic discounts, a great pension scheme, support with your professional development and much more.
