Summary
Overview:
We are a bespoke kitchen door manufacturer seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Semi-Skilled Joinery Operative to join our production team. This role involves the manufacture of high-quality MDF shaker doors in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble MDF shaker kitchen doors using pre-cut components.
- Apply adhesives accurately and consistently to ensure strong, clean bonds.
- Layer and position door components correctly prior to pressing.
- Operate a hydraulic press, ensuring correct pressure and timing is maintained.
- Trim doors to precise dimensions, maintaining strict accuracy.
- Ensure all doors are perfectly square and meet quality standards.
- Use a hand router to apply detailed edge profiling to doors.
- Sand door edges using an orbital sander through multiple grades of sandpaper.
- Carry out quality control checks to ensure products are ready for finishing/spraying.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in a joinery, woodworking, or manufacturing environment preferred, training will be provided.
Good practical skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and follow production instructions
Experience using hand tools (e.g. routers, sanders) is desirable
Strong focus on accuracy and quality
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Working Hours:
39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm, with an early Friday leave time.
Full time, permanent position available for immediate start.
