Summary
Bookkeeper (Practice)
Location: Prestwich
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am – 5:15 pm with a 1-hour lunch, and Friday, 9:00 am – 4:45 pm with a 30-minute lunch (36.25 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Our client is an accountancy practice based in Greater Manchester. They aim to provide high-quality services using modern technology to support their clients across accounting, tax, VAT, payroll, and business advisory.
The business focuses on building strong client relationships and providing a collaborative, supportive environment that encourages employees to develop and grow.
They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and supportive team based in Prestwich. This is a primarily office-based role, with occasional travel to client premises when required.

Requirements
• Proven experience in a bookkeeping role (practice experience essential)
• Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software
• Experience in preparing VAT returns
• Confident in communicating with clients and liaising with HMRC
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Access to own vehicle for occasional client visits
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment

The Role
• Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC

• Managing accounts payable and receivable
