The Role

We’re recruiting for three Audit Managers here at Justice Digital, Data and Science, to be part of our warm and collaborative Digital Compliance team.

The Digital Compliance Team are here to make delivery safer, faster and more consistent.

The Digital Audit Manager will play a key role in developing the governance, risk management and control services within Justice Digital, Data and Science. The Digital Audit Team have developed the first ever internal annual audit plan for Justice Digital, Data and Science. The Digital Audit Manager will be responsible for delivering against the annual audit plan and wider team objectives, contributing to establishing the audit function within Justice Digital, Data and Science.

Key Responsibilities

Accountable for planning and delivering internal audit services within Justice Digital, Data and Science.
Accountable for providing internal audit reports and communicating key findings to senior sponsors.
Responsible for delivering services in accordance with internal audit standards and principles.
Supporting the Lead Auditor in delivering against the Annual Audit Plan.
Oversee the implementation of professional internal audit standards and principles within the Digital Audit Team.
Providing Management Assurance related to the Digital Audit Team objectives, including driving the completion of corrective action plans.
Improving the governance, risk management and control practices within Justice Digital, Data and Science.
Represent the Digital Compliance Team at relevant stakeholder events, including speaking engagements and workshops.
Maintain corporate and departmental records management standards including the timely and accurate filing of documents and correspondence, and the completion of relevant logs and plans designed to monitor department activities.
Comply with the MoJ’s information governance policies and procedures and in particular those relating to information security.

Person Specification

Essential:

Experience using data analytics and agile techniques.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Effective decision making and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
The ability to create bespoke reports and deliver recommendations to Senior Leaders.
Experience establishing or improving operational processes to increase consistency and efficiency.
Experience working with internal or external auditors.
Experience working in a Digital or Technology environment.

Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for BPSS clearance.
