Our client, a reputable main dealership located in Birmingham, is seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their dedicated team. The MOT Technician will play a vital part of the dealership's operation, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced motor trade professional to contribute to a well-established business that values its staff and provides industry-leading benefits.
The MOT Technician will be servicing vehicles and conducting MOT tests, making it suitable for someone with the right qualifications and experience. The MOT Technician position is key to maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and customer satisfaction. The successful MOT Technician will be fully committed to delivering quality work and adhering to safety regulations. This psoition offers a competitive salary, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Benefits:
- Basic salary starting at £30,000, with OTE of £34,000 including bonuses
- Weekly hours from Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays
- Permanent, full-time employment
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment as an MOT Technician
- Perform vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and identify repair opportunities
- Carry out MOT tests in compliance with DVSA standards, fulfilling your duties as MOT Technician
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all work carried out
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards
- Work closely with team members to ensure high-quality customer service and vehicle safety
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Valid MOT licence is essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester
- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment
