Are you an experienced HGV Technician seeking a new opportunity with excellent earning potential? Our client, a well-established family-run Commercial Dealership in Carlisle, is looking to recruit a skilled HGV Technician to join their dedicated team. This position offers the chance to work within a supportive environment where your expertise is valued and rewarded.
Benefits:
- Competitive basic salary up to £40,456, with potential earnings reaching approximately £48,000 per annum through overtime and weekend work.
- Generous overtime pay at enhanced rates, including double time on bank holidays and Sundays
- Rotating weekly working hours: Week 1, 8:00-16:30; Week 2, 9:00-18:00.
- 1-in-2 Saturday mornings paid at overtime

Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive repairs and servicing on a wide range of HGV vehicles
- Diagnose fault codes and undertake necessary repairs with accuracy
- Carry out maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
- Assist in diagnosing complex vehicle issues and provide solutions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician, with a stable employment background.
- Ideally from a Commercial Main Dealer environment; Fleet experience is also desirable.
- Full UK driving licence; Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) preferred
- Ability to perform a wide variety of repair and maintenance tasks efficiently
- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
- Commitment to high standards of work and safety compliance
