Experience:
• Teaching of primary age pupils
• Curriculum responsibility
• Working in a team
• Working with children with SEN
• Ability to teach the requirements of all National Curriculum Primary subjects
• Teaching classes containing more than one year group
• Able to teach in a cross-curricular way
• Use different teaching styles (VAK)
Education & training:
• Degree or equivalent
• Teacher qualification
• Participation in recent professional development
• Evidence of awareness of national developments in education
Ability to:
• Work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children
• Motivate others
• Communicate clearly
• Sense of humility, a willingness to learn
• Show initiative, creativity & imagination
• Manage resources appropriately
• Work with parents to maintain their confidence in the teaching profession
• Set clear targets to move all children forward, ensuring consistent progression
• Confidently monitor the quality of planning, teaching, learning and assessment
• Have an impact on the educational progress of children other than in own class
• Implement new initiatives

Bourne Elsea Park C of E Primary Academy, part of Abbey Academies Trust, is a one-form entry Church school situated in South Lincolnshire. The other schools in our Trust are Bourne Abbey C of E Primary Academy and Colsterworth C of E Primary School. The school was judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2022 and our SIAMS report in February 2025 noted 'Bourne Elsea Park Church of England Primary Academy is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish’.
