As Highland Broadband continues to connect more rural communities across the Highlands, we are expanding our team. We are looking for hands-on, friendly, and customer‑focused individuals who enjoy working outdoors and travelling across some of the most scenic parts of Scotland.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be on the frontline of our service, completing outdoor groundworks and bringing full‑fibre connections directly to customers’ homes. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Carrying out groundworks and soft excavations, including digging small trenches through gardens and driveways.
- Installing Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) by pulling or blowing cables through underground ducting from cabinets or chambers.
- Working outdoors in all seasons, often in rural and remote locations across the Highlands.
- Liaising directly with customers to agree the best routing across their property before starting work.
- Clearing blockages using safe excavation techniques.
- Working on overhead networks, where required.
- Completing internal cabling, fitting customer equipment (CPE), and ensuring everything is tested and fully operational.
- Educating customers on how to use their new service and promoting positive customer experiences.
- Identifying potential leads in surrounding areas as you work.
- Being flexible with occasional evening or Saturday work to meet customer schedules.
