Your Responsibilities as an EYFS Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the EYFS framework.

  • Serve as a positive role model for both students and colleagues.

  • Foster positive relationships with children and their families.

  • Collaborate with fellow staff members, including specialists and TAs.

  • Assist in resource preparation and creative activity setup.

  • Help prepare lessons and ensure a stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support children across all Seven Areas of Learning.

  • Give extra support to children with special educational needs (SEN).

  • Mark work and maintain accurate student observations/records.

  • Report student progress to parents and senior leadership.

  • Help look after the children during school trips and activities.

  • Look after children that are unwell.

  • Attend staff meetings and parents' evenings.

  • Confidence in leading a full class or small groups.

  • A positive attitude and effective communication skills.

Essential requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience working with EYFS/Early Years children.

  • Strong class management skills.

  • Comfortable managing challenging behaviour.

  • Able to engage with and motivate young children.

  • Deep knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
