Summary
Key Duties Assist in the safe and accurate aseptic preparation and dispensing of cytotoxic, hazardous, and monoclonal products in accordance with SOPs and GMP. Assemble trays for aseptic compounding, including raw materials, consumables, and labels, and perform in-process checks. Support workload prioritisation by communicating effectively with senior staff. Provide daily top-up services to the Aseptic Services Unit and manage sundries orders. Ensure accurate and timely charging of aseptically prepared products. Participate in environmental monitoring, cleaning, and quality assurance activities within the aseptic unit. Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to best practice in aseptic services. Assist with stock management, including ordering, storage, expiry date checking, and stock rotation. Receive, unpack, and correctly store medicines and consumables, ensuring appropriate documentation and quarantine where required. Participate in stock takes and maintain accurate stock records using pharmacy systems. Maintain clean and organised storage and working areas. Assist in training and supporting new staff, including pharmacy assistants and trainees. Participate in audits, governance activities, and departmental projects. Support dispensary services and contribute to weekend and bank holiday rotas as required. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all health and safety, COSHH, and risk management requirements.
