Summary
Community CAMHS is a large mental health and community psychology service comprising many pathways and services utilising an iThrive model, including CAMHS Disability (CAMD), First Steps (FS) and SCAC. We are embedded within the acute and community services for City and Hackney, working in multi-disciplinary ways with physical and community health partners through Homerton Healthcare which is leading the neighborhoods agenda. We work in an integrated way with other mental health and statutory services within the borough, via a CAMHS Alliance, with shared pathways for 16+ with Adult IAPT and with ILDS, for transition to adulthood.
Due to a vacancy - after a promotion - we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to lead the autism pathways for children with co-occurring intellectual disability and to lead on the Getting Help (GH) and Thriving offers in CAMHS Disability. We are looking for an experienced clinician, e.g. Clinical Psychologist to join Community CAMHS at the Hackney Ark, a centre that provides a comprehensive range of child health services for children and young people with disabilities, additional needs and vulnerabilities.
This is a part time 0.6 wte role, Wednesday to Friday to lead the ND diagnostic pathways for children with ID and Getting Help offers.
1. Provide operational clinical and strategic leadership on CCC, DDAC assessments, intervention, diagnostic decision making
2. Work as a consultant member of CCC, carrying out complex diagnostic assessments and interventions and strategically planning the CAMHS involvement in Paediatric led clinics
3. Work as a member of DDAC for complex cases, for a small caseload of children and young people, carrying out ADOS and 3di assessments and diagnosis, differential diagnosis and complex case decisions, and leading the team in strategic visioning
4. Clinically operate and strategically lead the tier 2/Getting help, getting advice and thriving offers in CAMHS Disability
5. Line manage and clinical supervise staff in these pathways
6. Liaise and work jointly with colleagues from the CAMHS services across Community CAMHS and the CAMHS Alliance, social care and education
7. Complete general clinical duties of band 8 clinicians e.g. SPA, Initial Assessment, MDT, meetings and training.
8. Complete general Senior Manager leadership tasks as agreed by Heads of Community CAMHS, e.g. lead on training committees; MDT chair; Datix, FOI and NICE guideline requests. Deputise for Heads as appropriate.
