Maintenance Operative at The Grange Care CentreBank Hours AvailableSt Philip's Care is dedicated to providing outstanding care to our clients which is why we have been named 'The most outstanding care group in the UK' in 2016 and ‘The most improved Dementia Care Group in the UK’ in 2017 by the UK Over 50s Housing Awards.Our Residential Care Home is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Operative to assist in the day to day running of a busy and vibrant care establishment.Reporting to the Care Centre Manager the incumbent will carry out day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services and grounds to ensure that the Home is maintained in a safe, efficient and functional order.Job RoleTo carry out general maintenance as required throughout the home.To ensure the home is in good decorative order at all times.To ensure all external areas and grounds are kept tidy and well maintained to ensure the smart appearance of the home.To supervise outside contractorsTo minimize costs by monitoring energy consumption and maintaining written records.To upkeep all health and safety records and the periodic testing of appliances and functional items within the home.Expectation for post holder to responds to emergency situations within the homeCandidates Should Have:A flexible approach to workAbility to prioritise workloadHigh Standard of DIY including internal and external decoration.Ability to communicate effectively with outside agenciesAn understanding of heating systemsA basic understanding of electrical appliancesAn ability to maintain accurate inspection records.
