Machinist
Castle Donington
IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE:
Due to a continued increase in business, our client now has a requirement for a Wood Machinist to join an expanding team on a temporary to permanent basis. The ideal candidate will preferably have experience working in a wood machine shop and be confident using a wide range of woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment.

Pay Rate:
£28,000 - £29,750 per annum
Hours of work:
Monday To Friday 06:00-14:20
Duties:
• Measuring, marking out, and preparing materials
• Setting up and operating machinery to produce high-quality components such as Sanders, Crosscut and dimensions saws, CNC machines and moulders
• Assembling components and carrying out quality checks on finished products
• Working accurately from technical drawings and specifications
Skills required:
• Strong experience using woodworking tools and machinery
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good numeracy and problem-solving skills
• Solid knowledge of timber and board materials
• Ability and willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Reliable attendance and good timekeeping
• City & Guilds Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in Wood Machining, Bespoke Furniture Making, or a related discipline (Preferred)
