Summary
1. To vacuum floors, dust and clean ornaments and surfaces and perform any other cleaning requirements.
2. To clean daily all bedrooms, sanitary facilities, lounges and corridors.
3. To spot clean carpets as necessary and shampoo carpets when required.
4. To empty wastebaskets.
5. To clean internal doors and windows.
6. To perform thorough cleaning of rooms once a fortnight on a rota basis.
7. To ensure regular watering of plants is maintained and assist service users with watering plants in their rooms if required.
8. To ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean and ready to use.
9. To ensure cleaning stores are locked at all times and cleaning trolleys are not left unattended.
10. To ensure the correct and economical use of cleaning materials and equipment and ensure wastage is kept to a minimum.
11. To ensure all equipment is maintained, clean and in good working order and to report faulty or damaged equipment.
12. To be familiar with the Nursing Homes Policies and Procedures.
13. To comply with health and safety, fire and other statutory regulatory requirements.
14. To report any incident immediately to the Staff Nurse or Manager.
15. To ensure weekly orders of cleaning products as required.
16. To attend staff meetings as required.
17. To represent the home in a positive manner.
18. To maintain confidentiality in relation to the personal and private affairs of the service users.
19. To maintain confidentiality in relation to the business/affairs of the Nursing Home.
20. To undertake any other relevant and reasonable duties within the requirement of the job role.
