Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Outreach Teacher to support pupils with Emotional, Behavioural and Social Difficulties (EBSD/ESBA) who are currently unable to access mainstream education. This rewarding role focusses on providing 1:1 and small‑group teaching within the community, helping young people re-engage with learning and build positive routines.
Location: Blackley
Contract: Full-time / Long-term
Start: 20th April
Rate: Up to £230/day DOE
Driving Licence Required (with Business Insurance)
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised learning sessions to pupils in community settings or their homes
- Follow tailored learning plans and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people who may present challenging behaviours
- Work collaboratively with the school, SENCO, and external agencies
- Track and report on progress, attendance, and engagement
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH/EBSD needs (school or alternative provision)
- Confident delivering differentiated lessons outside of a traditional classroom
- A calm, patient and restorative approach to behaviour
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance (essential)
