Summary

The Role


You will play a key part in the finance team, supporting daily operations and contributing to accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities include:


Essential Duties

  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and reports
  • Ensuring all financial practices align with accounting standards and company policies
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Providing payroll support
  • Managing intercompany transactions
  • Supporting year‑end audit processes
  • Payroll consolidation tasks


Desired Experience

  • Handling purchase ledger activities
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Conducting variance analysis to highlight trends and identify potential issues
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to support business decisions


Additional Requirements

  • Carrying out ad hoc duties as required by senior management and directors
  • Experience with Sage (1000) is advantageous.


Skills & Qualifications

  • AAT Level 4 qualification (minimum requirement)
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Xero
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel abilities for data analysis and reporting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team


Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
