Summary
Job Title: Shunter
Location: Leeds, LS25
Position: Temp - Perm
Pay rate: £16.30 per hour + Overtime paid at £22.95 per hour
Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 - between 18:00-06:00 (8 hour shifts). Eg. 18:00-02:00, 20:00-04:00 etc.
HRGO are currently recruiting for an experienced Shunter to join a busy and fast-paced business based in LS25. This is a high-volume site, offering excellent rates of pay and long-term opportunities. Please note you must hold a CE (Class 1) driving licence.
Duties will include:
- Moving trailers and vehicles safely within a busy yard environment
- Carrying out routine vehicle and equipment checks
- Supporting the smooth flow of site operations and vehicle movements
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met
- Completing basic paperwork and ensuring records are kept up to date
- Maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping at all times
Requirements
- CE Driving Licence - Class 1
- Previous experience in a similar role within transport, logistics, or yard environments
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
