Summary

Material Handler Operator (Wheeled 360 Excavator with Grab)

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Material Handler Operator to join their client's busy scrap metal operation in Port Talbot steelworks. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled operator to secure an immediate start with a reputable employer.

Key Duties:
  • Operate material handling machines such as Sennebogen, Fuchs, or Liebherr.
  • Safely move, sort, and process scrap and recycling materials.
  • Conduct daily checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
  • Work as part of a team to meet site productivity targets.
Requirements:
  • Valid NPORS or CPCS qualification for wheeled 360 excavator operation.
  • Valid CCNSG Safety Passport.
  • Proven experience operating material handlers in a recycling or scrap environment.
  • Ability to work safely and follow site procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual, able to work Monday - Friday.
What We Offer:
  • Pay rate: £14 per hour basic, £21 per hour after 40 hours (plus holiday pay and pension after 12 weeks).
  • Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm (minimum 40 hours per week).
  • Immediate start available.
  • Ongoing support from Acorn by Synergie during your assignment.
