Support Co-ordinator

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail and a flexible, solution‑focused approach. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong and effective communication skills when working with a range of key stakeholders, including internal teams and local authority partners.

A key responsibility will be managing the administration of the consultation process for learners exploring a placement at Newcastle College with an EHCP. The postholder will also oversee the administration of PEPs (Personal Education Plans) and EHCPs, including the coordination and organisation of meetings/reviews. The role requires close collaboration with support colleagues and external providers to ensure that these processes are efficient, supportive, and enable a positive experience for learners from the point of starting college and throughout their journey with us.

The postholder will also be instrumental in co ordinating the monitoring and invoicing of funding for high‑needs‑funded learners. This includes working closely with internal teams and local authority partners to track funding outcomes and ensure support is delivered effectively.

In addition, the postholder will take a key role in monitoring attendance for learners with an EHCP and those who are care‑experienced, ensuring accurate tracking and maintaining clear, consistent communication with internal colleagues and local authority partners.
