Transport Requirement: Must be able to drive a 3.5T van from Exeter
Our client is a well-established, Southwest–based catering company specialising in relaxed dining experiences for weddings and events. Inspired by years spent in Spain and over a decade catering events across the UK, their food isn’t just served, it’s an experience. From sizzling plates to interactive service, they create unforgettable atmospheres that guests genuinely remember.
We’re looking for an experienced, confident Event Chef to join them on Saturdays, supporting their relaxed dining service at weddings and private events across the Southwest.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll be cooking live in front of guests, engaging with them, and serving directly from large pans. You’ll also be part of a close-knit team, helping ensure events run smoothly from set-up through to clear-down.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking one-pot dishes and mains on site
Cooking and serving directly in front of guests
Engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner
Supporting a smooth, fast-paced service
Assisting with event set-up and clear-down
Stepping in to help where needed to support the wider catering team
Loading, driving, and unloading a 3.5T catering van from the Exeter base
Working closely with the whole catering team to deliver a seamless service
Requirements
Experience as a chef or strong catering background
Confident cooking in front of guests
Friendly, approachable, and professional
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable driving a 3.5T van
Reliable and available most Saturdays
Exeter, Devon starting location for each event
