Summer Fields Care Home.

Role: Night Care Manager.

Hourly Rate £15.00 ph (pay rate is currently under review)

Working Hours: 33.75 hrs per week (3 nights per week)

Summer Fields is situated in a quiet, well established residential area of Rock Ferry, near Birkenhead in the Wirral. The Home is registered as a 49-bed Dementia Residential home, offering long term care, respite, day care and short-term stays. We have an excellent local reputation, and we are a popular local choice, providing residents with a welcoming, homely environment. As part of the ‘Your Health Group’, we pride ourselves on providing excellent standards of care to the residents and their families.

We are currently looking for a Night Care Manager to join our dedicated team.

We ensure that residents are able to still enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of their choice, whilst receiving care that is appropriate to their needs built on dignity and respect and you will play a key part in this

Role: Night Care Manager

What will you be doing: -

To be operationally responsible for night care team and to ensure the needs of the residents are met.

To maintain the highest standards of record keeping, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self governance in accordance with codes of practice of the post holder’s professional body and Your Health Group standards.

Supporting the manager of the home in its operations on a daily basis.

Being responsible for specific areas of the home which includes reporting and acting on information in a timely manner.

Ordering, administering and keeping accurate record in respect of medication.

Completing quality audits are directed by the Home Manager

To ensure supervision arrangements for directly managed staff comply with Your Health Group policy.

To ensure that outside health professionals are arranged for residents when required.

To provide advice and consultation to staff and others about specific issues and general good practice in respect of the well-being of staff.

To ensure that handovers and daily reports are completed and daily reports, are legible and accurate

To ensure compliance with the regulations and requirements of the Care Quality Commission.

To be responsible for care plans and that they have been completed legible and accurate reporting any discrepancies to the deputy manager.

Qualifications and Experience

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care

A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required in a Senior Care Role.

Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
