Summary

Sports Coach / Sports Graduate - SEN School (Bury)

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach or Sports Graduate to join a specialist SEN school in Bury. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for someone looking to use their sporting background to support and inspire young people with additional needs.

Role Details:
- Position: Sports Coach / Sports Graduate
- Location: Bury
- Start Date: ASAP or after Easter half term
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Pay: £102 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
- Contract: Full-time

The Role:
You will work closely with pupils with special educational needs, including SEMH, ASD, and behavioural needs, using sport and physical activity as a tool to engage, motivate, and support their development. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for sports who are considering a career in education, youth work, or coaching.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and support sports sessions and physical activities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement through structured activities
- Assist teaching staff in lessons and classroom management
- Build strong relationships with pupils to support their social and emotional development
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, and resilience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A background in sports, coaching, or a related degree
- Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
- A proactive, energetic, and resilient attitude
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
