Primary SEN Teacher - Bacup
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Bacup. This is a full-time position, ideal for a teacher who is committed to supporting children with special educational needs and creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
Role Details:
- Position: Primary SEN Teacher
- Location: Bacup
- Start Date: After Easter
- Duration: Ongoing until the end of the academic year
- Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Salary: Paid to scale (dependent on experience)
The Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with support staff and the SENCO, you will ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
- Support pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting approaches where necessary
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO, and external professionals
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils with SEN
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
