Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex Care workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to service users based in central Reading. The service users has complex care needs, and experience in Stroke, PEG feeding, suctioning, learning difficulties, Manual Handling and Catheter will be needed. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. This paid positions offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills in Complex Care and more.
You will be working on a full time rota which will be given to you 3 months in advance and you will be paid weekly. There are working days and night available.
Responsibilities
Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Administer medication and monitor health conditions in accordance with care plans
PEG Feeding
Medication
Ventilator experience
Manual Handling and Hoist procedures
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Drive clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safety at all times
Experience
Previous experience in Care or Complex Care is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and behaviour management
Experience caring for individuals with Complex Care needs is advantageous
At least 6 months UK care experience
Valid driving licence is preferred for this role involving transportation responsibilities
Basic first aid certification is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided if required
