Summary
ROLE: Cleaning OperativeHOURS: 16 Hours/Week.LOCATION: HMP Millsike

We're looking for a Cleaning Operative who will support the vision for HMP Millsike as a place of restoration and rehabilitation, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and uplifting environment for prisoners and staff.
Role Responsibilities
-Carry out cleaning tasks to a high standard, ensuring all areas of the establishment remain clean, hygienic, and presentable.
-Stock and maintain supply rooms, ensuring all materials are stored appropriately and available when required.
-Follow Health & Safety and COSHH regulations, including disinfecting and deep cleaning tasks when necessary.
-Report any incidents, defects, or dangers to the supervisor promptly and accurately.
-Maintain a strong focus on health and safety in all work undertaken.
Required Qualifications (applicants must meet the below defined requirements)
-Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
-Strong customer service skills, with the ability to represent the service professionally in every task attended.
-A proactive, self‑motivated attitude with the ability to use initiative.
-Flexibility within contracted hours and commitment to a strong ‘can do' approach.
-High moral standards and absolute integrity, suitable for working in a secure environment.
(A background in cleaning is advantageous, but full training will be provided.)
