About the Role
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week (flexible weekday hours)
Location: Hereford (Must be a car driver/owner)
Pay: £12.71 per hour
You’ll provide a mix of personal, domestic, and social support, helping me to live as independently as possible, and allowing me to continue to enjoy my hobbies and routines.
Job Details
Personal Care
-Supporting me with bathing, dressing, hair and skincare
Housekeeping
-Making and changing of beds
-Cleaning, dusting, laundry and ironing
-Keeping living spaces tidy and organised
Shopping
-I would need you to help me in and out of your vehicle
-Loading/unloading wheelchair and shopping
Meal Preparation
-Preparing simple meals (you don’t need to be a fantastic cook!)
-Washing up and ensuring the kitchen is clean afterwards
Hobbies, Social Activities & Appointments
-Supporting me to continue doing what I enjoy, history, architecture and textiles
-Helping at events with note‑taking, refreshments, and personal support
-Joining occasional visits to friends (all agreed expenses paid)
Other Assistance
-Helping sort paperwork and letters
-Supporting with phone calls and small admin tasks
-Supporting me at appointments, events, and social activities

About Direct Payments
Direct payments are available from Local Authorities for people who have a care and support plan in place following a social care assessment. An amount of money is allocated to purchase the assistance and care needed to live independently.
I should stress that I will be your employer and have full responsibility for recruitment, contracts, supervision, pay, training etc. A support service assists me in meeting my responsibilities as an employer.
