Summary
OVERALL AIMS OF THE POST
Working with other members of the Community Centres Team/Colebrook Central Team, to manage and develop the day-to-day delivery of operations at our Community Centres including the St Budeaux and Crownhill Wellbeing Hub.
To oversee day-to-day running of the facilities and ensure they are connected to the local community. To attend various network meetings across the city to identify and develop additional business opportunities
for both the hire of the centres, development of the Wellbeing Hub activities and identifying/attracting possible funding streams.
This post will also be required to line-manage identified Community Centre Staff.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES THE POST HOLDER TO HAVE A FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE AND ACCESS TO OWN VEHICLE
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITES:
· Management and oversite of the day-to-day operations of both community centres. This includes but is not limited to:
a. All Health & Safety, fire and maintenance inspections and testing, coordinating housekeeping, repairs, decoration and maintenance to ensure buildings and grounds are well-maintained, fit for purpose and kept clean and tidy.
b. Oversight of weekly Health & Safety inspections and tests. Co-ordinate and facilitate site visits by external services/agencies/potential hirers.
c. Liaison with our landlord to ensure appropriate reporting and compliance with all agreements.
d. Maintenance of the asset register for the facilities
e. All risk assessment and risk management relating to the centers.
· Point of contact for all hirers, maintaining positive relationships. To oversee all administration relating to hire of centres and identifying, supporting new hirers.
· Produce/Oversee reporting for all relevant activity, including:
a. Clarion activity and H&S
b. Colebrook Quarterly Quality Report
c. Reporting of all new funding and activity
d. Supporting reports as produced by the Project Co-ordinator
· Identify and develop partnerships with external organisations to create and maintain positive working relationships to include:
a. Networking with Plymouth partners to identify opportunities and potential funding for local communities and promote Colebrook Wellbeing Hubs and Community Centres in delivering additional funded activities.
b. Networking and partnership working to engage with local communities to establish need and promote the wellbeing hubs.
c. Develop and maintain strategic knowledge of proposed developments and opportunities within Plymouth Boundaries.
d. Attend meetings/events in relation to the above activity.
· Line Manage identified Community Centre Staff including regular supervision, annual appraisal, and development opportunities. To support a cohesive team approach to ensure smooth running of the centres.
HEALTH & SAFETY
· To perform all duties in a manner which ensures the health, safety and welfare of both you and those who use the Community Centres, in adherence with policy, practice and procedure.
GENERAL:
· To undertake other duties that may reasonably be required by the Chief Executive and Board of Directors.
· To comply with all aspects of the policies and procedures of Colebrook in accordance with legislation and good practice, complying with General Data Protection Regulations and the Data Protection Act requirements and promoting equality and diversity.
· To remain active and involved in own and Community Centre staff personal development opportunities, training and participate in supervision and performance appraisals as required.
· To promote open and honest communication and to work as part of the Team.
· The position is designated as an essential driver. The post-holder must have own transport to travel to various Community Centre/Colebrook Services locations to carry out duties.
